Molly says

Hello, my name is Molly, and I’m a second year Financial Economics student at the University of Dundee.

I applied for an internship at Nilupul because I was drawn to the company’s commitment of driving positive change through its commitment to social impact, particularly through supporting projects in areas like education and sustainable development.

This opportunity will allow me to gain practical experience and expand my knowledge in a dynamic environment while further developing my skills to contribute to real-world solutions.

Kate says

Hi! My name is Kate, and I am a second-year psychology student at the University of Dundee. Starting in winter 2025, I’ll be undertaking my internship program at the Nilupul Foundation.

Through exploring the intricacies of running a charity alongside the Foundation’s team, I hope to gain a deeper understanding of how mindfulness practices can be integrated into community health initiatives.

I have applied for this internship because it aligns with my interest in mental health care and provides an invaluable opportunity to develop essential skills for my future career while making a positive impact on the lives of those Nilupul supports.

Eleanor says

My journey as a graduate of the Nilupul Foundation’s intern and young directors’ programmes provided me with essential training and skills, especially in social media, which were crucial during my job search after university. I leveraged these experiences in interviews, helping me stand out from other candidates.

These skills not only gave me a competitive edge but also laid a strong foundation for my career. Starting in change management at a British multinational oil and gas company, I quickly adapted to communication-focused roles.

Now, I work in external communications within the Digital Strategy & Channels team, managing all aspects of the company’s social media. I am truly grateful for the opportunities Nilupul provided, especially being invited to become a non-executive director to mentor their young directors.

from intern to young director!

Marie-Christelle says

“Hello, my name is Marie-Christelle, and I am honoured to serve as the newly appointed Young Director of the Nilupul Foundation for the 2024-25 term. This opportunity follows my enriching experience as an intern with Nilupul during the spring of 2024.

Originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, I have also lived in Uganda and Rwanda before moving to Dundee to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management at the University of Dundee, where I am currently in my third year.

My time as an intern at Nilupul was incredibly rewarding, and I am thrilled to take on this new role. I look forward to deepening my understanding of what it takes to successfully lead a charity and to contributing to Nilupul’s impactful mission.”.
